SpectroCor has been granted patents in both the United States and Japan for its proprietary myocardial monitoring technology, marking an important milestone in the company’s intellectual property strategy.
The granted patents strengthen protection for SpectroCor’s innovation in real-time observation of myocardial tissue during cardiac surgery.
The technology is designed to provide clinicians with insight into the metabolic state of myocardial tissue down to the mitochondrial level. It supports improved understanding or myocardial oxygenation and tissue physiology during critical phases of patient care.
“Receiving patent protection in both the United States and Japan is an important validation of our technology and long-term vision,” said Kalle Kotilahti, CEO of SpectroCor. “These milestones support our continued efforts to advance myocardial monitoring and bring new insight into cardiac surgery.”
The newly granted patents further reinforce SpectroCor’s growing international patent portfolio as the company continues development of the SpectroCor Tissue Oxygenation monitor and SpectroCor Sensor.
